The Bornless One —
The Invocation Without a Name

On the ancient ritual of self-sovereignty, and what it means to wear the call.

Before there was a name for it, there was the call.

Not a voice. Not a vision.
Just a pull — toward something older than language,
older than the systems built to contain you.

What Is the Bornless One?

The Bornless Ritual — sometimes called the Preliminary Invocation of the Goetia — is one of the oldest surviving magical texts in Western occultism. Its origins trace back to a Greek papyrus from Roman-era Egypt, part of what scholars now call the Greek Magical Papyri — a collection of spells, hymns, and rituals written between the 2nd century BCE and the 5th century CE.

The Invocation Opens

"Thee I invoke, the Bornless One."

Bornless. Without origin. Without beginning. A presence that existed before creation — and therefore, before limitation.

The ritual was rediscovered in the 19th century by occultist Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers, and later adapted by Aleister Crowley, who renamed it Liber Samekh — a ritual of self-identification with one's Holy Guardian Angel, the highest and most authentic aspect of the self.

The point was never to summon something outside of you.
The point was to remember what was always within.

The Invocation as Mirror

Most people misunderstand the word invocation. They think it means calling something in. But the root is Latin — invocare — to call upon, to call forth.

Forth. From within.

The Bornless One is the self before the mask. The signal before the static. The fire that burned before anyone told you it was dangerous.

When the ritual declares "I am He, the Bornless Spirit" — it is not arrogance. It is recognition. A remembering of what was there long before the world shaped you into something more manageable.

Why It Still Matters

We live in an age of constant formation. Algorithms decide what you see. Trends decide what you wear. Metrics decide what you're worth.

The Bornless Invocation is a refusal.

A refusal to be defined from the outside. A commitment to the self that existed before all the conditioning — and the self that will remain after all the noise has passed.

This is not about rebellion for its own sake. Rebellion is still reactive. Still defined by what it opposes.

This is about something older and quieter: sovereignty. The decision, made once and renewed every day, to walk your own path — not because it is easy, but because it is yours.

The Collection

The Bornless One capsule was built around this exact idea. Each piece is an invocation in fabric. The symbols are not decoration — they are reminders.

The Unholy Gaze. The Serpentis Heart. Venom & Roses. Each name is a line from the same ancient text — rewritten in the language of now.

Because the call doesn't change. Only the form it takes.

The Bornless One

Symbolic lounge for those who define their own path.
